After outlining a program of songs, the Trio DuLaBo embarked on a new formula: replaying of Ma Mère l'Oye, the emblematic work by Maurice Ravel. The marriage of sounds was an important parameter in the music of Ravel. Here, the starting material is clear, : a score for piano four hands ... A fabulous playground for our laboratory, which, like Ravel, focus on being fed by everything, listening to the noise of the world to enrich their own expression.
Vibraphone and saxophone weave melodies and harmonies while the rhythmic pulse is provided by a strange "ethnic drums" where the drums are replaced by traditional drums. World music, jazz or music concrete ... the result is a constant inventiveness. >With slogans such as improvisation and interactivity, the trio DuLaBo creates music free & resolutely playful.
A fascinating experience of "improvised" music.
